Exedra‘s journey began in 2012 as a very difficult project to complete. In Ortahisar town of Ürgüp, 142 houses and 3 mansions spread over an area of 6 acres started to be restored one by one by preserving their original architecture. In the project, which was processed like a carving with local natural stones, arches and stairs combined the houses one after another. Thus, at the end of the second year, Exedra Hotel was partially opened with 26 rooms.

While welcoming guests from all over the world in our 26 rooms, our renovation works continued. When the giant project was finally completed in 2018, 142 houses and 3 mansions surrounded by lavender gardens were connected to each other by arches and stone stairs. With this unique architecture, Exedra was soon inducted into the “Travellers‘ Choice“ hall of fame of the world–famous holiday site Trip Advisor. Hürriyet, one of Turkey‘s most established newspapers, was the subject of the “10 Most Romantic View Addresses“ news dated December 2020. She took part in the travel book written by Saffet Emre Tonguç and published in English in 2021 under the name of “Boutique Hotels – Turkey“ all over the world.

Today, Exedra Hotel holds the title of the largest boutique hotel in Cappadocia with its 86 rooms, 4 restaurants, winery, spa center including Turkish bath, fitness center, heated outdoor infinity pool and 2 meeting rooms along with suites.
